Since 2012, I have sat the Reiki master level 4 times, with 3 different internationally known teachers. I have been teaching Reiki since 2013.

Why would I embark on and make such a commitment to such a journey, you may ask.

Because I like to get to the heart and the truth of the matter - in this case the traditional teachings of the Healing Art of Reiki - and because Reiki is more than a healing modality to me, it is a life path.

I refer to “Reiki” as the most Chinese whispered of the healing modalities. Often what is referred to as Reiki, is far removed from the traditional teachings.

Having lived in Japan for a time, I have great appreciation for the culture and traditions of the Japanese Way.

Some of the modern and western teachings of Reiki I liken to a western style living room, often cluttered and filled with more creature comforts than necessary. Whereas, the traditional Japanese system of Usui Reiki is akin to a Japanese style room: functional, simple tatami flooring, minimally furnished, a vase with a single flower; the beauty found in simplicity.

As Inamoto Sensei, my favourite Reiki teacher says, “Place your hands, Surrender & Smile.” This simple way has a profound effect on mind, body & inner being.

The spiritual practice of a Reiki Master is to be at one with everything in life, and beyond.

My intention is to walk the path of Being Reiki as close to the Truth as I possibly can.

My mission is to share the teachings and the benefits with as many as I can reach. 🙏
