Animal Reiki Healing: A Gentle Offering, Led by Your Animal

When we work with animals, we’re always reminded just how wise they are.
Animal Reiki is one of the gentlest ways we can support their wellbeing, because it’s entirely led by them. There’s no forcing, no holding, no expectation, just a calm invitation and deep respect for their boundaries.
Safe for All Animals
Animal Reiki is safe for animals of all ages, sizes, and species. Because it’s non-invasive and deeply gentle, it can be offered alongside veterinary care or simply as supportive wellbeing. We don’t diagnose or interfere, we create space for the animal’s own natural balance to come forward.
Always on Their Terms
Some animals love hands-on Reiki. Others prefer us to sit quietly and work from a distance. Both are equally valid, and we always follow their lead.
When we begin a session, we open our hands and softly invite the animal to come to us. Some approach straight away. Some take their time. And sometimes, they choose not to come at all and that’s perfectly okay.
If an animal walks away, we step back and continue the session from a distance. This allows them to remain comfortable and safe, while still receiving Reiki in a way that feels right for them. They may receive a little or a lot, they decide.
In Animal Reiki, they are always in control.
Creating Safety First
Animals open when they feel safe. We never chase, coax, or try to “make” anything happen. Sometimes the most powerful sessions are the quiet ones, where the animal rests nearby or moves in and out of the space as they wish.
This choice builds trust, and trust is where healing begins.
What We’ve Seen First-Hand
We’ve personally witnessed beautiful changes in our own animals, sometimes within hours of a session. These changes can look different for each animal: deeper rest, calmer behaviour, more ease in their body, or a gentle shift in mood.
Every animal is unique, and every response is different. Reiki isn’t about forcing outcomes, it’s about offering support and allowing whatever is needed to unfold naturally.
A Calm Presence, Not a Fix
Animal Reiki isn’t about fixing or controlling. It’s about being present, respectful, and available, creating a peaceful space where animals can simply be themselves.
