Massage versus Reiki

Massage: is a physical, hands-on therapy designed to manipulate muscles, tendons, and soft tissues. Through techniques such as kneading and stretching, it directly targets tension, boosts circulation, while improving flexibility. It’s an ideal choice for those looking to soothe sore muscles and find tangible physical relief.

Reiki: by contrast, is a subtle energy healing modality. Rather than working with physical tissue, practitioners use either light or no touch (hovering their hands just above the body) to balance the "life force energy”, Chi or Ki. This process assists in clearing any energetic blockages whilst triggering the body's natural healing response.

While massage focuses on the physical body, Reiki focuses on the energetic body, fostering deep emotional peace, reduction in anxiety, while restoring harmony to mind, body and spirit.
